Week 8-Article 3

There is little I can disagree with in this article, but it does just focus on the USA. It suggests that the dissemination of digital technology can be seen as one event-I would question whether this can be so, unless it is an event that has lasted several decades. It goes on to state that all students nowadays are all Digital Natives. There may be those who have little access such as distance learners or those in LEDCs for example. Students should not be grouped like that and academics should know not to generalise in such a way. One major point is that the author gives characteristic examples of Digital Immigrants. However, two of these ‘characteristics’ I would possibly do myself, and I’d consider myself to be a Digital Native.
